The Federal Budget Appendix, or Details by AccountThis is work in progress The Appendix to the Budget lists all the accounts of the government, with detailed financial information for each account. The amounts of money requested and actually used are listed for three years, the actual year (FY 1999 in this example), the estimates for the year recently started and for which the appropriations had been enacted at the time of the budget request preparation (FY 2000 in this example), and the budget year (FY 2001) for the amount requested. The Appendix classifies the amounts in the accounts by major activities, which may be related to the GPRA goals and the strategic plan, and by major object classifications (such as personnel compensation and benefits and contracts). |
