Analysis of Federal budget issues |
The
Center on Budget and Policy Priorities does an
excellent, objective analysis of the numbers in
the budget. Their reports are a good
antidote to the political slant of the White
House (including OMB) and Congressional
(including CBO) requests and analyses. Well
worth consulting to understand what the overall
numbers mean. This report is
titled Is the Clinton Budget a "Big
Government" Proposal? Spending as a
share of the economy would fall to lowest level
since 1956.
